
I love life’s little pleasures. I like the clean smell of cotton and fresh linen, I like a glass of red wine or a piece of dark chocolate. I like high-heeled shoes, right out of the box, and I like new clothes.
Yes, I do like a lot of things… but I try not to indulge carelessly in all pleasures at once. You know what they say… too much of a good thing can kill you. (Although that is yet to be proved.)
Anyway, I’m a sensible person (or I like to think I am…) but I like to treat myself with these special little things once in a while. It feels just like a little pat on the back for a job well done (or unnecessary self-gratification, as you might prefer to call it…).
That is why, if you say “Sales!” to me, there is no way I can stay indifferent to that call. I just can’t let the opportunity pass me by.
But my days of shopaholism (is that a word?) are long gone (I told you I was sensible.) and a seasons sale is now also a period the requires some re-evaluation and planning.
So, this last sales I imposed a small challenge to myself.
